Melanie’s Bridal Shower! Benicia, CA

This past weekend I had the honor of hosting a bridal shower for one of my best friends at the Jefferson Street Mansion in Benicia! Melanie and I have known each other since the fourth grade. It feels like just yesterday we were going to Jr. High together, or wondering where we would meet our future husbands. You always worry a little when your friends go away to college that you might drift apart. Melanie just graduated Liberty University in Virginia but through all these years, every time she comes home it’s like nothing has changed and we jump right back into where we left off. I love that about our friendship!

My mom helped me co-host the shower and she created amazing custom signage for the shower. I can never rave about her enough. We scavenged her house for vintage cookbooks and tins for the drink tables, then transformed antique drawers with flowers from a storage locker we found at a flea market. I was so lucky to have amazing table linens from Candy Crush Events! Her table linens really brought the whole shower design to another level. I’m in love with her products.

I was so fortunate to have help from friends with bringing balloons, donuts, appetizers, etc.. Melanie, I hope you had a fantastic time at your shower and can’t wait to stand by you as you marry your man in August:)

Published in The Knot Magazine!

So excited to finally spill the beans! Wynter & Ryan’s gorgeous wedding in San Francisco has been published in The Knot Magazine’s 2014 Northern California fall/winter issue. I couldn’t believe we were chosen until I actually held a copy in my own hands. I’ve dreamed of the day when my work would be published in print, and I can’t believe that this dream has become a reality. This wouldn’t have been possible without Wynter’s amazing taste & our outstanding vendor team!

Jude & Ciara Married! Vacaville, CA

So excited to share some of my very favorite images from Jude & Ciara’s amazing love fest! Ciara is actually a family friend that I have known since I was a little girl. We recently were able to reconnect because her parents pastor an amazing church that opened a new campus just ten minutes from my house!

I was so excited when she asked me to photograph their big day. I actually didn’t get a chance to meet Jude until the wedding week came along, since they live in Ventura. They are just the cutest couple you ever did see. Jude completely lights up when he is around Ciara and couldn’t stop hugging his lady and kissing her cheeks all day! There love is giddy and their happiness is contagious.

Congrats you two! Hope you are having an amazing time in Hawaii. To say that me and my hubby are jealous of your 18 day honeymoon is an understatement;)

elisegiverink - Hi Kacy! It was at Silver Brook Events in Vacaville :)

Michael & Dana Married! Sacramento, CA

The weather called for heat. Without a single cloud. I was a little worried at first because normally when we get a big heat wave it’s hard for brides to brave the weather for their portrait session. But Dana & Michael were so laid back about it. You could tell that they were just excited to marry their best friend.

These two go together so well. I fell in love with them at their engagement session under the Golden Gate Bridge, and that made me even more excited for their Sacramento wedding at the Arden Hills Country Club.

Michael & Dana, I’m so happy that our paths crossed! Photographing you two was so much fun:)

Their entire venue was surrounded by gorgeous blooming white roses.

Denise Sedam - Beautiful! The photographer captioned your day in such a way that those who didn’t attend would feel like part of the big day :-)

Hair Portfolio Images! Martinez, CA

I was recently asked by my friend Kassy to help her create a hair portfolio! Kassy is one talented gal. She actually is the one who did my ombre for me, which I am loving. Dying your hair can be a scary thing but I was in totally good hands and afterwards I was thinking, why didn’t I do this sooner?!

She asked one of our best friends Kelci to model for this shoot. Everyone who knows Kelci knows this girl is so beautiful inside and out. I’m trying to convince her to send off these photos to modeling agencies. It’s always so fun to collaborate with friends. Take a look:)
